When your friend signs up, they’ll enjoy 3 free months after completing their satisfaction-guaranteed trial.
You’ll earn 1 free month as soon as they begin their trial, plus 2 more months when their trial ends. You can easily track your rewards in the Referral Tracker within the app.
Additionally, your friends will receive a brand-new Hero device as part of their order. Devices are typically delivered within 4 business days.
The referral program is available exclusively for customers with an active, regular Hero subscription that is paid out-of-pocket. Ensure your subscription type qualifies to access the “Refer a Friend” option in the app.
Limit: You can earn up to 12 free months through the referral program—the equivalent of a full year of Hero, just for referring 4 friends successfully!
Your Friend’s Plan Options
Q: What if my friend chooses a Monthly Plan?
A: Friends who choose the Monthly Plan will automatically receive a 3-month free discount at checkout. This discount will appear as “pending” during their 90-day trial and will be applied once their trial ends—no extra steps needed.
Q: What if my friend chooses a Bundle?
A: Friends who purchase a 12-month bundle will receive 3 additional free months as part of their referral reward. The bundle price stays the same, but they’ll enjoy a total of 15 months of Hero service—a full year plus 3 extra months on us.
Free months are automatically applied to your subscription in the next billing cycle. To view your awarded free months, go to "More" > "Manage Subscription" in the app.
Tip: To maximize your rewards, make sure both you and your friends meet all eligibility requirements. Remind your friends to use the referral link you shared when placing their order, so their signup is correctly tracked. Keep an eye on your Referral Tracker to ensure you receive all earned credits.
Troubleshooting
Why are you charging me if I signed up using a referral code?
When you sign up with a referral code, your 3 free months are applied after the money-back trial period ends. You can check your pending and awarded free months in "More" > "Manage Subscription" in the app.
I forgot to apply my referral code when placing the order. What should I do?
Referral codes must be applied at the time of purchase. If you missed entering your code, please contact Hero support as soon as possible. While we’ll do our best to assist, we can’t guarantee that the discount can be applied after the order has been completed.
I don’t have a Refer a Friend section
The referral program is available exclusively for customers with an active, regular Hero subscription that is paid out-of-pocket. If you are part of provider's remote care program, Refer a Friend is currently not available to you.
