The Hero device operates exclusively on a subscription-based model and cannot be purchased outright. This ensures that customers have access to ongoing support and services included with their subscription plans.

We offer two main subscription options:

Flexible Monthly: $59.99/month — cancel any time. The most flexible option with no long-term commitment.

Annual, billed monthly: $44.99/month, a 1-year plan.

Annual, prepaid: $29.99/month when you prepay for a year, billed as $359.88 — the most cost-effective rate.

If a subscription is canceled, the Hero device must be returned in compliance with the subscription-based model. Devices purchased from third-party websites or other second-hand sources are not supported and cannot be activated or serviced.

👉 Hero is FSA/HSA eligible — you can use an FSA or HSA card to pay for your subscription.

Hero partners with a network of medical practices offering Medicare-approved remote care programs that include Hero’s smart dispenser and check-ins with licensed professionals — for as low as $0 (co-pays, coinsurance, and deductibles may apply).

To check eligibility, start by filling out the form at www.herohealth.com/provider-directory. The elected provider will contact you to schedule a virtual clinician visit, who will verify insurance and assess your medical necessity for the program. Once enrolled, Hero will be provided to you for the duration of the program.

The Remote Care Program includes a personal care management team from partner providers who check in with you monthly to help you set and reach your health goals. To stay enrolled, you must attend the required virtual monthly check-ins and use Hero to track your medication adherence.
