You can dispense medication on an as-needed basis with Hero. When you add a new medication, the Hero app gives you the option to schedule it or set it as an "as-needed" pill.

Dispensing an On-Demand Dose
Dispense Medication
Go to the Main menu on your Hero device.
Press "Dispense."
Select "Medication."
Choose the medication name you wish to dispense.
Specify the number of pills you need.
Adjust On-Demand Limits
To limit or adjust the number of on-demand pills you can dispense, open the Hero app.
Go to the "Meds" tab.
Select the medication you wish to edit.
Scroll down through the medication details.
Tap on "Max on-demand pills per day."
Use the plus and minus signs to increase or decrease the number.
Tap "Set" to apply the changes.
Your Hero will automatically apply the new settings.
