With Hero, you can dispense any medication on demand, as long as you've set the maximum number of on-demand pills per day in the medication settings. You can also create an 'as-needed' schedule when adding a new medication if you only want to dispense it on demand.

To dispense an as-needed/on-demand medication:
Check or Adjust Maximum On-Demand Settings:
Open the Hero app, go to the "Meds" tab, select the medication, scroll down to "Max on-demand pills per day," and adjust as needed using the plus and minus signs. Tap "Set" to save.
Dispense the Medication:
Go to the Main Menu on your Hero smart dispenser, press "Dispense," select the medication, and specify the number of pills you need.
Note: Remote dispensing of as-needed/on-demand medication is not available yet but
will be coming in the future
