Plug in the Hero smart dispenser.

You’ll see a welcome screen. Press the Center button to start.

The dispenser will check for software updates, which can take up to 10 minutes.

Once updates are complete, continue setup on the Hero app with a unique connection code.

Download the Hero Health app to your smartphone (iPhone or Android).

Tap "I am new to Hero" to begin.

Enter the 8-digit connection code displayed on your Hero device screen and tap "Next."

Select "A loved one" for “Who will be using the Hero pill dispenser?”

You will be asked to receive your loved one’s permission to manage their information and medication on Hero.

Create your account by entering your details and verifying your email address via the confirmation email sent to you.

Fill out the requested details about your loved one, then tap "Next" to continue.

Enter your loved one’s health conditions, relationship to you, and the best way to contact them.

Once complete, you will see a success screen prompting you to add your loved one’s medication. Tap the "Let’s do it" button to continue.

Add all medications to your account before loading up to 10 medications inside the dispenser.

Search for a medication and tap the name that matches your loved one’s medication.

Enter medication details and tap "Continue."

Set up the schedule by selecting whether your loved one takes the medication every day, on specific days, or on demand.

Select how many times per day, the exact time, and the quantity of pills per dose.

Review the schedule. To add another schedule, tap "+ Add another Schedule" and repeat the process. When finalized, tap "Continue."

Choose "Add another medication" to add additional medications. When done, tap "Done Adding Medications" to continue to setting up your loved one’s preferences.

Invite additional caregivers who can track your loved one’s adherence and progress without making changes, then tap "Next."

On the last step, select "Let’s do it" to start adding medications to the dispenser.
