To refill a medication, go to your smart dispenser, and press the center button to access the main menu:
Select "Refill" from the main menu.
Choose the medication you want to refill, and on the next screen, select 'Pill count' to update pill count.
The cartridge door for the selected medication will open automatically. Remove the cartridge containing the medication.
To ensure old pills are dispensed first, pour them out before adding new ones.
Place your new pills into the now empty cartridge.
Pour the old pills on top of the new pills in the cartridge.
Make sure you've updated the pill count at this point, adding number of new pills before closing the door. If you choose to skip updating the pill count, the smart dispenser will default to estimating number of pills left.
Reinsert the cartridge back into the Hero smart dispenser. Ensure it is properly loaded by listening for a click sound when inserting. Close the smart dispenser door.
