Using the Hero App and Smart Dispenser for Medication Identification
To identify and match medications with their correct cartridge slots, you can use either the Hero app or the Hero Smart Dispenser.
Using the Hero App:
Open the Hero app and go to the Meds tab.
Each medication listed will show its corresponding cartridge slot number.
To view medications in slot order, tap Cart # in the Meds tab.
The list will sort by cartridge number, showing medications in order from Cartridge 1 through Cartridge 10.
Using the Hero Smart Dispenser:
Press the central button on the Smart Dispenser to open the main menu.
Scroll to Pill Status and press the central button to select.
Choose the medication you want to check.
Select Check Cart.
The dispenser will automatically position the correct cartridge and open the door.
When you remove the cart, you will see the engraved cartridge number.
Troubleshooting Scenarios
During a Power Outage: - In case of a power failure, use the white plastic pill access key to manually open the door and retrieve medications. Match the retrieved medications to their respective slots using the engraved cartridge numbers and app information.
