How will I know it’s time for my meds?
When it’s time for your meds, the Hero smart dispenser will alert you with a message on the dispenser screen, an audible tone, and flashing light. Based on your notification preferences, you may also receive a push notification to your mobile phone from the Hero app when it’s pill time.
We also understand that caregivers may play an essential role in medication management. That's why our device is designed to provide notifications to caregivers when you're late to take your pill, miss a dose, or when your medication supply is running low. This way, you can have peace of mind knowing that your loved ones are keeping an eye on your medication schedule with you.
How do I use Hero to dispense my meds at the right time?
Hero is designed to give you the right dose, at the right time, every time. Here’s how it works:
Press the center button to start dispensing your dose. If you added a dispense passcode for any of the medications in that dose, you will be asked to enter it first.
During the dispense, Hero will pick up each pill and drop it into the cup. During this process, the device screen will indicate which medication is being dispensed.
Once it has dispensed all of the pills in that dose, Hero will instruct you to remove the cup. Verify the dose and take the pills that have dispensed.
After you have taken your medication, return the cup to Hero so that it’s ready for the next dose.
