You can add a “digital lock” to the device, which will require entering a passcode to access the Hero dispenser menus. Only scheduled dose dispense will be available on the dispenser without any passcode entry.
Important Note: The Hero Smart Dispenser is not intended to be a pill lockbox and does not prevent users from physically accessing medications stored in the device by design.
Setting Up a Digital Lock
Open the Hero App
Go to the "More" tab.
Select "Notifications & Preferences."
Navigate to "Caregiver & Member preferences."
Enable Access to Device Menus
Under "Access to Hero device menus," tap the on/off switch.
An overlay will appear.
Create a Passcode
Tap the arrows to create a 4-digit code.
Tap the "Add" button to create the menu passcode.
Confirm Changes
Tap the "Update" button to confirm any changes.
