Sometimes you might need to dispense a dose in advance, such as when you're not near your Hero at a scheduled dose time and need to take the dose with you.
Demonstrating future dose dispense functionality on the smart dispenser
Access the Main Menu
Press any button on your Hero smart dispenser to access the Main menu.
Navigate to Future Dose
Select "Dispense."
Scroll down to "Future Dose."
Select and Dispense
Choose the dose you wish to dispense.
You can dispense any upcoming dose up to 6 days in advance.
Press the center button to start dispensing.
App Reminder and Recording
The Hero app will send you a reminder to take the medication.
The app will record your adherence accordingly.
Important Note: Once a dose is dispensed early (available only from the smart dispenser), it will not be dispensed again at the scheduled time. Take care to allocate dispensed medication appropriately.
Note that you can use this functionality to test or demonstrate Hero dispensing.
Safety First: When dispensing a future dose for testing or demonstration, make sure to store the dispensed pills securely. This prevents accidental intake or loss.
Additional Considerations:
Before testing or demonstrating the dispensing functionality, keep in mind that any dose dispensed early will not be released again at its original time. Ensure pills are kept safe and unused doses are not discarded.
