Caregiver accounts in the Hero app allow a friends and family members to monitor a Hero users schedule adherence, and receive notifications and updates about their day to day medication usage.
When setting up a new caregiver account in the Hero app, the first thing to do is select what types of notifications you would like to receive about the primary Hero user. By default, you'll be receiving notifications anytime there is a missed dose, extra pills dispensed, a refill needed, or an updated regimen. On the Hero app caregiver start up screen, any of these can be toggled off or on.
Next, you'll be asked to add a phone number - this should be the phone number of the primary Hero user. Any time the Hero app detects a missed dose, or extra medication being dispensed, the Hero app will give the caretaker the option to call or text the primary user at the click of a button. Add in the best number to reach the primary Hero user at, to streamline this process.
Once you've set up caregiver notifications, you can explore the app.
There are four main tabs in the Hero app: Dashboard, Medication, Adherence, and Account.
The dashboard tab shows a user's progress for that day. On this page, you can view all scheduled medications and their statuses - dispensed, skipped, extra medication taken, and upcoming doses.
The medication tab shows a list of all medications a user is storing inside of Hero, and tracking outside of Hero. Clicking on a medication to review its dosage strength, expiration date, scheduled time, and safety lock settings.

On the account tab, users can edit their user information, notification settings, or contact Hero Support for assistance.
